The Power of Batch Writing: How to Create a Month's Worth of Blog Content in Just One or Two Day

March 08, 20232 min read

"Coaching is unlocking a person's potential to maximize their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them." - Tim Gallwey

As an online coach, content is king to building your business. Specifically your followers, email list and more importantly, the know-like-trust factor. And let me tell you, batching my blog posts has been a game changer!

At first, I used to write a blog post whenever inspiration struck. But let's be real, inspiration is not always there when you need it. This would lead to a lot of procrastination and inconsistency in my content creation.

As I started to develop the Power Up 100 Plan, I realized that writing the blogs was really the only heavy lifting required to pump out 60-100 pieces of content per month.

5 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW TO POWER BATCH YOUR WRITING IN YOUR COACHING BUSINESS

Focus on one task at a time

When you batch your blog posts, you are able to focus on one task at a time. Instead of switching between writing, researching, and editing, you can dedicate a whole day or two to just writing. This allows you to get into the flow and produce high-quality content without interruptions.

But the benefits don't stop there.

#1 thing to know how to batch create your content

Helps you maintain consistency in your content

Batching your blog posts also helps you maintain consistency in your content. When you write multiple blog posts in one sitting, you're able to see how they all fit together and ensure they flow seamlessly. This helps your audience to better understand the topics you're teaching in your programs, especially if you release the blogs in the same order as you teach your content.

Take advantage of tools like Chat GPT to generate blog post titles and create an outline before diving into your batch writing session

Saves time in the long run

Another great thing about batching your blog posts is that it saves time in the long run. Instead of having to come up with new ideas every time you sit down to write, you can plan out your content in advance.

This means you can spend less time brainstorming and more time creating, because you are simply following the order of your course modules.

Set aside one or two days dedicated solely to blog post writing, and eliminate distractions to maximize your productivity

Even life gets in the way, you still have blog posts ready to go

And let's not forget about the added benefit of having a backlog of blog posts. Life happens, and sometimes we don't have the time or energy to create new content. But if you have a stash of blog posts ready to go, you can still provide value to your audience even when you're not feeling your best.

By aligning your batch writing with the sequence of your course material, you can ensure that your content is cohesive and supports your overall teaching goals

I also recently discovered that GoHighLevel, the software I use to manage my business, allows you to host all your blogs with a special creative feature to post them beautifully.

Writing the blogs is the foundation step to the Power Up 100 Plan which can be the most mental heavy lifting you’ll have to do.

Finally, repurpose your written blog content

Don't forget to repurpose your batch-written content into other formats, like podcasts, videos, and social media posts, to maximize your reach and engagement.
